My name is Chef Texas Rose ™. Who am I? I am a chef who intends to utilize this blog to chronicle her culinary experiences and Texas hospitality.

Do I know what I am talking about? Well frankly yes in a matter of speaking. I have graduated from a culinary program and received two Associate degrees in Applied Science. My two majors were in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management. As well, I attended an online program through the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale, Arizona. I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu with a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Management. But I am always still learning.

I am currently in the process of starting a restaurant near my hometown as well as a catering company. The restaurant has been a dream of mine for about 20 years. The name of this restaurant will be the Texas Rose Restaurant ™. Thus my pseudonym … Chef Texas Rose ™.  The catering company will have its own venue where I will create memorial events with food of course for weddings, reunions, family gatherings, corporate meetings, and any other event people can think of.

As I said earlier, I plan to utilize this blog is to chronicle my culinary journey from this moment to the grand opening of the restaurant and beyond. I plan to share the menu, some of the recipes, some pictures, and any experiences I shall have. I will share the ups and downs of putting the Texas Rose ™ into operation.  Along this journey, I will sprinkle in some talk about the Texas cuisine and the hospitality with a splash of Texas living that has made Texas famous.

You are more than welcome to try the recipes and leave comments or critiques. Try the recipes and let me know how it worked. Was it great? Or do I need to work on it a little more? Did you follow the recipe exactly? Or did you do something different? I would love to know!

Until next time,

Chef Texas Rose
